This role is a permanent contract starting on 01.09.2026 at 32.5 hours per week. – Term Time Only with an actual pro-rata salary of £20,398-£21,395 (Grade D Point 7 – 10).
The role will include:
• Classroom Support — Provide effective assistance to the teacher during lessons, helping maintain a productive learning environment and supporting pupils’ engagement.
• Small Group Work — Lead small groups with confidence, delivering planned activities and adapting tasks to meet varying needs.
• Individual Support — Offer targeted help to pupils who require additional guidance, ensuring they stay on task and understand learning objectives.
• Behaviour Management — Apply school behaviour policies consistently, using positive reinforcement and de escalation techniques.
• Learning Resources — Prepare, organise, and maintain classroom materials, ensuring resources are accessible and appropriate for planned activities.
• SEND Awareness — Support pupils with special educational needs by following individual plans and adapting approaches sensitively.
• Safeguarding Practice — Follow safeguarding procedures, report concerns promptly, and maintain professional boundaries at all times.
• Communication Skills — Communicate clearly with pupils, staff, and parents, modelling positive language and maintaining confidentiality.
• Professional Conduct — Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and a proactive attitude; contribute positively to the wider school team.
